Evenings are often spent around our outdoor fireplace and sometimes the quiet and the stillness of the night is just awesome and it's wonderful to have friends over at these times to share the moment.

The Solitude
Friends come over and during the day some do things that brings a smile to the face and warms the heart and they leave us plenty of memories to treasure.
Food & Drink
It"s a long way to the nearest Pizzeria so when we do get a chance we indulge ourselves. Friends drop by at times bringing us something special...... like baguettes and good cheese and it"s those times we miss " Baker Street" and "Tantos" and all those wonderful places and the times spent there in the company of good friends.
Some days are just Wild !
We had seven of them up on the hillside close to us and everybody stopped what they were doing to watch and admire our majestic visitors.
Not all wild moments are pleasant however. We had a leopard take down one of our calves less than a hundred yards from our farmhouse.
Initial feelings of anger however gave way to accepting the situation calmly...... We were in his territory after all and he was only doing what came naturally to him. Ah well, maybe it was a leopardess . Either ways we did the mandatory reporting to the wildlife department and let the whole matter pass.
Actually wished we could leave the carcass and hope for a sighting of the leopard but we just buried the calf the following morning and later that evening we could hear his calls as he searched for his missing prey.

Vediparai
Almost a year and a half after we acquired this property and called it "Vediparai" we're still not done. It's WIP as I like to think about it and I expect we'll be finished soon. There's still a few things I want here.
Horses
Horses have always fascinated me and the Bible says this of the horse ...
Job 39:21-24
21 He paws[a] in the valley and exults in his strength;
he goes out to meet the weapons.22 He laughs at fear and is not dismayed;
he does not turn back from the sword.23 Upon him rattle the quiver,
the flashing spear, and the javelin.24 With fierceness and rage he swallows the ground;
he cannot stand still at the sound of the trumpet.
he goes out to meet the weapons.22 He laughs at fear and is not dismayed;
he does not turn back from the sword.23 Upon him rattle the quiver,
the flashing spear, and the javelin.24 With fierceness and rage he swallows the ground;
he cannot stand still at the sound of the trumpet.
" Secretariat " the movie ignited the passion for horses again and there was only one way to go from there... Setting up our own modest stables.

Monsoon
The monsoon brings magical moments and it's times like these that create an atmosphere that invokes serenity.
It's raining so hard on the Kerala side of the hills there's many waterfalls and cascades being formed as the water flows down the hill. With the clouds covering the hilltops it's just picture perfect.
And there"s glorious rainbows that just makes you stand and watch in awe. This picture does not really portray the beauty of this scene.

Coimbatore
2013 and I'm in Coimbatore . Dad and Mum always liked Coimbatore and have lived on campus at the Karunya University. I lost dad in 2012 and I miss him so very much.
This is the location we chose to be based at. We are at the edge of the forest with hills on three sides and Coimbatore City to the east about 30 Kms from here and Kerala on the other side of the hills to the west
